Earlier this month our Year 9 netball team played in the U14 North Dorset Netball tournament at Sherborne Girls school. They faced 6 other schools in a round robin competition.
Throughout the tournament the girls played exceptional netball showing outstanding levels of effort, determination and skill. What really shone through the most was the support of their teammates and tenacity when facing more challenging opponents.
As a result of the inspirational netball they played, the TBS team fully deserved their resounding wins against Bryanston, Sherborne Girls, Clayesmore, Gillingham and Gryphon. They finished up as champions and now progress to the County Finals in November at Canford School.
This accolade is even more remarkable, as in the history of the competition, the title of North Dorset Champions has only been achieved a few times by a state school.
