The Blandford School staff and students would like to extend our sympathies to the family and close friends of Della Jones who passed away on Tuesday 5 September 2023.
Generations of students at TBS have competed in the Della Jones Mile which she launched 45 years ago. Without fail, Della would always join the school for the annual Sports Day and was last with us in July this year to watch the Mile and award trophies to the winning students. Della was a long-standing supporter of the school as a governor and Chair of Governors and for this we say an enormous thank you.
Della will be fondly remembered in this community for her generous support of young people, her energy, enthusiasm and zest for life. The Della Jones Mile is her legacy.
