School Local History

On this page we look at some of the history of The Blandford School.

Niall Stoddart, an ex teacher, has spent in excess of 1,500 hours since 2012 researching the War Memorials found at the school.

An ex pupil, Albert Cole, was part of a Lancaster Bomber crew which crashed and died at St Martin-sur-Oreuse in France.

A new memorial was unveiled at the crash site and The Blandford School was privileged to be invited to lay a wreath. Details and pictures from the ceremony are below.
