The Blandford School Celebrates A Level and Vocational Qualification Results

Thursday, 15th August 2024

The Blandford School’s Year 13 students are celebrating today as they receive their A Level and Level 3 Vocational Qualification results, marking the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.
Sally Wilson, Headteacher, expressed her pride, stating: “I am incredibly proud of this year group who have demonstrated remarkable resilience and commitment to achieve such outstanding results. Their success is a testament to their hard work, and I know that families and friends will be celebrating alongside them today. On behalf of the governors and staff, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of our students.”

Continuing its proud tradition, TBS has once again seen its students secure places at prestigious Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, where they will embark on a variety of courses that align with their passions and aspirations. Despite national concerns over students missing out on their preferred destinations, 92% of TBS students have secured their first-choice university, a reflection of their determination and the school’s supportive environment.
The Class of 2024 is set to embark on a diverse array of degree programmes at leading institutions across the country, with destinations as far north as York. At TBS, we believe in offering a broad curriculum that empowers students to carve out their own unique paths. Here’s a look at just some of the courses they’ve chosen:
Remaining students will be commencing apprenticeships/employment including public services and the military.
Biomedical Science
Politics and International Relations
Forensic Biology
Fashion Marketing
Dental Nursing
Fine Art Painting
Sports Courses
Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology

Vicky Moore, Head of Sixth Form/Assistant Headteacher, also shared her excitement: “I am thrilled to see so many of our students achieve the grades needed to access their first-choice universities in a year where nationally more students than ever have entered clearing. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off. I wish them every success in their future endeavours, and I hope they remain connected with TBS so we can continue to celebrate their future achievements.”
At The Blandford School, we believe that “Your future is boundless, and there is no single mould for success – it’s about carving out your own unique path.” Today’s results are a powerful affirmation of this belief, as our students step confidently into the next chapter of their lives, ready to shape their own destinies.
