Careers
From Year 7, students receive structured careers guidance from our Careers Lead, Paul Gilson (pgilson@blandfordschool.org.uk), helping them to begin exploring future pathways and develop early aspirations.
From Year 9, students benefit from individual careers guidance sessions with our professional Careers Adviser from EDT. Working closely with each student, these sessions focus on identifying strengths and interests, setting realistic and achievable goals, planning next steps, and uncovering opportunities they may not have previously considered. This personalised support ensures every student is empowered to follow their own unique path.
Our Strategic Careers Lead is Deputy Head, Duncan Smith (dsmith@blandfordschool.org.uk).
The Governor responsible for Careers is Peter Slocombe, and our Enterprise Adviser is Evonne Pemberton, who supports the school by strengthening links between education and the world of work.
