Teacher - Learning Support
Overview
The Blandford School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful and supportive team. Guidance & Welfare Administrator

Contract: One Year Fixed Term (initially, pending review)
Hours: 37 hours per week, term-time only, plus one INSET day each year and an additional week during the school holidays
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 6–9
Actual Salary: £22,569 – £23,668 (FTE £25,989 – £27,254)

About the Role
The Blandford School is seeking a highly motivated and organised Guidance & Welfare Administrator to join our supportive pastoral team.
Working closely with the Head of Year, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the pastoral care, welfare and development of our students, particularly those in Year 7 as they transition into secondary school life.
You will help ensure effective communication between students, families and staff, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support to help our students thrive.
This role would suit someone who is approachable, organised and enjoys working with young people. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise workload, and the confidence to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Full training on school systems will be provided as part of your induction.
Key Responsibilities

An existing first aid qualification, or willingness to undertake appropriate training, would be an advantage.
