The Blandford School Celebrates Outstanding Sixth Form Results

Sixth Form students at The Blandford School are celebrating today following another outstanding year of A Level and vocational Key Stage 5 results.

For another year, the school achieved a 100% pass rate across all subjects, with students securing an impressive range of top grades. One third of students achieved at least one A* or Distinction grade, while 60% of all outcomes were A*- B grades or equivalent.

The school is particularly proud of the excellent progress students continue to make during their time in the Sixth Form. Outcomes over the past three years have placed The Blandford School among the top 1% of all Sixth Form providers nationally for student progress, reflecting both the commitment of students and the high-quality teaching and support they receive. TBS Sixth Form is truly exceptional.

It is fantastic to see the hard work, excellent school attendance, determination and resilience shown by our students throughout their studies rewarded with such strong results. These achievements mean that students leave The Blandford School well prepared and excited for the next stage of their lives, whether they are progressing to university, an apprenticeship, employment or taking a gap year.

Exciting destinations and first-choice university places

This year, students are moving on to a wide variety of exciting destinations, with an impressive 94% securing a place at their first-choice university.

One student has secured a local higher apprenticeship in bookkeeping and accountancy, while another is gaining valuable experience shadowing the podiatry team at Blandford Hospital ahead of beginning a degree apprenticeship in the field next year.

Others will be continuing their studies at universities across the country, including Edinburgh, Durham, Exeter, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.
