Sixth Form Open Evening – A Truly Incredible Night at The Blandford School

Our Sixth Form Open Evening last night was nothing short of spectacular. We were delighted to welcome an exceptional number of visitors—both from within The Blandford School community and from many neighbouring schools. The hall was filled to standing room only even before the first presentation began, setting the tone for an inspiring and vibrant evening.

A special congratulations must go to our outstanding Head Students, Abbie and William, along with Year 12 student Amelie, who each delivered heartfelt and confident speeches to a packed audience. Their honesty, professionalism, and courage in sharing their stories exemplified everything we are so proud of within our Sixth Form.

We have already received some truly wonderful feedback from families who attended. One parent wrote:

“I attended with my daughter, the Sixth Form Open Event this evening and I would just like to pass on, to ALL those involved, how grateful I am for such a welcoming, informative and friendly experience it was. To the Sixth Form speakers at the introduction in the Hall (so well done, it takes a lot of courage to stand up and speak to a sizeable crowd with the poise and professionalism they achieved), the current Sixth Form students who were so helpful and informative in their respective subject classrooms and to all the tutors and staff giving up their time to engage with everyone in such a positive and vibrant manner. Thank you, it was a valuable visit.”

Our heartfelt thanks go to every student and member of staff who played a role in making the evening such a success. Their enthusiasm, guidance, and warmth created an atmosphere that truly showcased what makes our Sixth Form exceptional.
