Performing Arts Trip to Los Angeles

The PCA trip to Los Angeles took place from October 26th to October 31st 2019.

“We have safely arrived! It is a beautiful day, and we are all looking forward to the start of our holiday!”

Day 1 –

And here are some pics arriving back from their first evening out watching Backbone by Gravity and other Myths. “What an amazing show”

Day 2 –

“An early start to our day – everyone must have been hungry as they were all on time.”

“We have had an excellent day. We started with a dance workshop at Millennium Dance Complex.

Everyone enjoyed the workshop and said how much fun it was. Those that didn’t do the dance workshop went on a Street Art Tour, which they also thoroughly enjoyed.

Next we were given a guided coach tour, highlights included Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Beverley Hills.

What a lovely day!”

This was filmed during the Dance Workshop

Day 3 –

“Today has been another fun packed day. First an acting workshop at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting, which is right in the heart of Hollywood, then a tour of the Dolby Theatre where the Oscars are held and finally dinner at Buca Di Beppo where we enjoyed bowls filled with pasta. A really enjoyable day!”

Day 4 –

“Today we went to Universal Studios and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.”

URGENT Action to take if there is a positive Covid-19 test in your household over the Easter holiday

Dear Parent/Carer

Action to take if there is a positive Covid-19 test in your household over the Easter period

The latest Government advice is as follows:  where a student or staff member tests positive for coronavirus having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should NOT be contacted.  Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

If a student tests positive up to and including Wednesday, 7th April you must contact the school’s emergency number

07857 113728

Please provide the following information:

Name and year group of the student who has tested positive

Date of positive test

Date symptoms developed

Date student was last in school

Names of friends/contacts during school break and lunchtimes

The school will identify and contact families of close contacts during any lessons and tutor periods, and also families of any known social contacts provided by you.

Please leave your own contact details, including email and telephone number.

You do not need to contact the school if a member of your household tests positive, but you should follow the advice of NHS Test and Trace in terms of isolation required within your household.

I would like to thank the entire school community for your support and co-operation during this unusual and difficult half-term.

With best wishes for a restful half-term break,

Sally Wilson
